How to Earn a College Degree Online – The Real Way

Would you like to earn a college degree? Is not having a degree holding you back in your career? Did you start one, but never finish? Is attending a traditional college simply not an option for you? Does earning that degree feel out of reach to you and something you’ll never accomplish? I could answer “yes” to every one of these questions myself earlier in my life. Through distance education I was able to earn my Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Skidmore College and turn my back on them forever.

The Real Way to Earn a College Degree Online

As a onetime high school dropout, earning a college degree once seemed as out of reach to me as touching the Moon must have felt to early man or woman watching it make its evening journey across the sky. Just like technology eventually gave us a means to touchdown on that elusive Moon in the night sky, it also has given way to being able to earn a college degree online làm bằng đại học giá rẻ.

Not only has it given way to earning a degree online, it’s also given way to big business and the host of issues that are introduced with that change. What am I talking about? For profit universities, degree mills, commercials claiming a degree can be earned in your pajamas, and colleges boldly stating a degree can be had in 12 months to name just a few. In short, a whole bunch of carpet baggers trying to empty your pockets in exchange for a worthless piece of paper that would be better used as place mat on your dinner table.

Sifting through this ever increasing maze of rubbish to find those jewels to a real degree can be challenging.

Where to Start?

The place to begin a journey in distance education is deciding what degree you want to earn and committing to complete it despite whatever challenges arise during the voyage. I can’t express strongly enough to remain focused when pursuing a degree online and staying the course until you’re done. Unlike traditional college, you most likely don’t have the flexibility or resources to change degree paths on a whim. Next, you need to find a good college that meets your needs with its distance education offering. Finally, you want to get very clear and specific with yourself about what you want to achieve with your degree right down to the grades you’ll make on tests. Why? That’s easy. Earning a degree online is no easy task in a world filled with distractions, work, family, and the host of other things eating up our time – it takes a tremendous amount of focus to succeed.

What next?

I’m a huge believer in not re-inventing the wheel and as a distance college graduate I condensed my experiences on earning a degree online into a fantastic resource for anybody thinking about doing the same.
